It exists purely to keep my actual memory registry tidy and myself sane because, lol, Homestuck and timeline shenanigans! If you are looking for the registry, you can find it here.

Age: 13 years old (or "6 solar sweeps" on her planet)
Team: Citrine
Height/Build: Not given! However, as she is only 13 feel it is relatively safe to assume she's a bit on the short side, being likely not full adult size yet. Let's not get into the weight thing, there are whole memes dedicated to it. Let's just say, for convenience's sake, that she is of completely unremarkable and average weight and build, until such a point in time as canon states otherwise.
Hair Color/Eye Color: Black/black.
Notable Traits: SHE'S A TROLL. IE: NOT HUMAN.
- Grey skin.
- Great big orange horns on her head.
- Eight eyes! That is, she has ONE normal eye on her right, while her left eye has SEVEN PUPILS. IT IS SUPER NOTICEABLE. FEEL FREE TO BE FREAKED OUT.
- While we're still on the subject of eyes, as you can see the whites of her eyes are... not white! They are yellow.
- Fanged teeth! :E
- Blue blood! Literally. If you cut her, SHE WILL BLEED BLUE. If she blushes, HER CHEEKS WILL TURN BLUE. Etc.
-Black lips. All trolls have these! Vriska wears blue lipstick in canon, so all her icons reflect this, but as she currently does not have any lipstick in Aather, please note that her lips are black. As of 9/08/11 Vriska did a quest for Goldie and now has both blue lipstick and mascara, so her facial appearance is now congruent with her icons :Db.
Other icon incongruities:
1) Vriska is being taken from after she gets her left eye and left arm back, so please ignore icons featuring her robo-arm or her left eye blacked out! I'm just using them for the expressions.

Vriska's now no longer completely nocturnal, but she isn't completely diurnal either. She tends to grab sleep where she can in snatches, most noticeably at dawn and dusk and the direct middle of the day.
Clothing wise, she wears the normal team uniform (tan shirt, tan trousers, leather slippers, Citrine-orange jacket) but she also wears a big, Vriska-blue, hand-knitted scarf from time to time.
Finally, please see here for a note on typing quirks and character voice! Long story short: until she gets the skill back, Vriska will NOT be able to use her typing quirk.

Mini-hiatus!
15 September 2011 09:28 pmMini-hiatus for the next 3 days for me as I will be PARTYING WITH THE AUSSIEBORG MEETUP AND NOT HAVE MUCH ACCESS TO NET IF AT ALL.

SO! Vriska regained her skill "mind control"!
Now okay, I am sure a whole lot of you are sitting there at your computers going "UUUUUHHH DNW" at such a god-mode-sounding-skill, so! I am here to reassure you about a few things:
1. Vriska's abilities are already significantly capped in canon in that she doesn't yet have full control over them and can only exert influence over "weak willed" or "impressionable" minds. It also requires a lot of energy and concentration on her part and she needs to practice to get good!
2. It's also speculated that her powers are significantly weaker when used cross-species. Though we're never given a clear answer as to whether it's a species thing or a distance thing, given that Vriska at the time is trying to mind-control a human from a whole galaxy away... in any case, seeing as Vriska is currently the only troll in Aather, there should be no major mind-control drama '-'.
3. I would also like to FURTHER reassure the players that OOCly I will be making use of the powercap in Aather to ensure that her powers, if they ARE being used, only ever actually work in a situation that is, for lack of a better term, "for the lulz." They will never work inside The Ring or any game situation period, and I would like to exercise extreme caution in ever using them for anything other than occasional lulz-- and be reassured that even then I would ALWAYS, ALWAYS be contacting players beforehand to check. I may make exceptions for serious situations in the event that the other party and I have talked it over extensively beforehand and agreed that this is the course of action we both desire, IF the scenario should ever arise.
Questions? Comments? Suggestions?

30 August 2011 12:57 pmOkay FIRST THINGS FIRST. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who played in this heart! Thank you for your patience and putting up with me! I still have a lot to learn about game running but I feel like this was at least an improvement on the last time I ran a heart game, so!!
Secondly, that this heart ended up going off QUITE DIFFERENTLY to the way I'd originally planned! Originally I had planned for a lot more stat-based stuff, encounters, traps, deaths (MULTIPLE TIMES OVER), and dice-rolls. But in the end I ran out of time to plan it all out (NOOO PLANNING IN ADVANCE, MY FATAL WEAKNESS!!!!!1) so you ended up with the weaksauce watered-down version, which is ... why the stats thing ended up so wonky and useless and ended up not actually coming into play that much. Sorry!! m(_ _)m
Now! Onto the heart itself!

All in all, lots of really little but really positive changes were made for Vriska, which add up into one big one, so here's hoping people who know Vriska may see a slight change in her behaviour soon :3. I hope everyone had fun!

+ 100 POINTS TO "FUCK YES REVENGE IS SWEET. DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE." This memory will have her swing back more towards her amoral and angry and violent and bitter side.

- Reading Mindfang's journal and feeling TOTALLY INSPIRED by how cool she was! Gaining the courage to live up to her "expectations".
What this means:
- Knows where the name "Spinneret" comes from now! FUCK YES AWESOME.
- Now has much more intimate knowledge of troll society and their norms, including their views on violence. ( U N S U R E )
- Vriska will now-- at least on the surface-- be 100% more okay with killing/violence as necessary and manipulating people as necessary! But also a tiny bit less certain in her beliefs. Troll culture after viewing through the lens of being in Aather :|aaaaaa. She may become a tiny bit frustrated, having no idea how to reconcile her confusion over the two different environments and the differences in the things that are "expected" of her.

- Vriska will now-- at least on the surface-- be 100% more okay with killing/violence as necessary and manipulating people as necessary! But also a tiny bit less certain in her beliefs. Troll culture after viewing through the lens of being in Aather :|aaaaaa. She may become a tiny bit frustrated, having no idea how to reconcile her confusion over the two different environments and the differences in the things that are "expected" of her.

Please tell me anything that should be added to or taken away from this list since it was last updated, as well as any special cabin features inside or around Citrine.

While I'm info gathering everything in one place I suppose I should also ask:
What is the division of chores around Citrine like? Who's good at what? What needs doing that nobody does? Who cooks? Who isn't allowed in the kitchen on pain of death? Do we have access to food sources other than our rations (eg hunting, gardening, gathering)? Does anyone ever do laundry? Etc etc. PRESSING QUESTIONS.

What she learns:
- John is "inferior" for some reason?
- She's from a place that isn't Earth. She's different to John! John is a human. She is a troll!
- "The life I left 8ehind wasn't so hot, to 8e honest." And then avoidance of the topic.
- Random assorted computer stuff. Internets. IMing. Youtube.
- Oh yeah and the Earth blew up. Whatever????????
- BUCKETS ARE REALLY SCANDALOUS. And for some reason humans don't seem to think so. And use them for cleaning. The humanity.
- He calls her "Spinneret" but it isn't her real name. Vague feeling of cleverness at punning her real name (whatever that is) on "secret".
- Hm, kind of getting a bit of a thing for spiders here!

A Note On Typing Quirks
16 June 2011 03:58 pmSo! If you've ever encountered Homestuck in any RP format on the internet before, you might have noticed that the characters have some batshit weird text, also known as "typing quirks"! And if you haven't, well, you're about to. So what's all that about, huh?

If you are already familiar with Homestuck, feel free to skip this cut to the pertinent bit down the bottom.
( For those not familiar with Homestuck, here is a quick rundown. Well. Sort of quick. You know how I like to talk. )
PHEW! That was a lot of words! Now, on to the fun bit:
5) Since you just spent all that time establishing that typing quirks reflect personality and character voice, how do you expect to put them into play in a medium where your character has essentially forgotten who they are?
Haha! I DON'T. THAT WOULD BE SILLY. WHY WOULD VRISKA SPEAK IN BLUE WHEN SHE DOESN'T REMEMBER WHY BLUE IS IMPORTANT?
6) What? But you just made me read a frillion paragraphs explaining how we could react to them! Why would you do that to me if you don't intend to include them?! WHY DO YOU HATE ME?!
Okay, okay. To be more specific: I don't expect Vriska to start out with a typing quirk. I've listed her ability to speak with her typing quirk as a skill, and if you think about it, even regaining that skill does not mean that she will actually do it unless she's also gained a relevant memory to explain to her why it is important. That said! I do expect that as she gains more of "herself" back she will start to slowly incorporate more of her typing quirks back into her text.
I do expect that she will start out occasionally elongating her vowels or punctuation marks, because that is a natural reflection of her voice, rather than a learned mechanism. However, for example, because she won't remember her fascination with 8s entirely, some may not always be exactly 8 letters long! Maybe, upon regaining that, she'll freak out a bit upon realising how many vowels and punctuation marks she's SLAUGHTERED by only being 6 or 7 letters long! THE HORROR!!!!!!!!
I am also not discounting the possibility for Vriska to develop different typing quirks in Aather from her canon self, depending on how her character arc develops! We've seen in canon that characters can change their typing quirks if they go through a radical personality or voice change, so why not in Aather too? IF EVER there was an RP medium for radical character development, it is memoryloss RP!
SO. In a nutshell, that is why typing quirks are important, why Vriska will not be starting out with her typing quirk but may slowly gain it back, and also why it may be subject to change! I dunno man, I can't see the future! Anything could happen!
